On April 3rd, we launched our new prices but missed the mark by presenting them in a very confusing way: Offering yearly payments only but presenting them what they would cost on a monthly basis while offering no way of paying them monthly.

We quickly realized that this was super confusing and, to some customers, felt like a trick — even though, on the pricing page, we mentioned that payments are made yearly only.

But, since most of us scan when reading online, we could see how presenting them as such could be overlooked.

With that — we decided on three core things:

  1. 3 plans instead of one (Was 5 initially)
  2. Present the prices as they are paid, without any breakdowns of what they would cost monthly.
  3. Yearly payments only!

Also, from here on, we're offering 30-day money-back guarantees, with no questions asked! This means that paying customers can ask for a full refund, for any reason, within 30 days of their upgrade.

blogstatic quietly launched almost 2 years ago, in April 2021.

Since then, the pricing has changed a few times, with the most recent change in October 2022, which created quite a buzz.

The $19/year plan hit a nerve with a ton of customers — 174, to be exact, at the moment of this writing.

The amount of praise we have received since then has been positively overwhelming. It has been the fuel to improving blogstatic daily.

Growth and Value

Since the rebrand and the previous flat price introduction back in October 2022, blogstatic has grown tremendously in terms of features and the value that it gives to its customers.

Every new feature that was created since — was deployed in that single flat plan of just $19 per year.

While this was great, it proved very difficult for us to turn blogstatic into a sustainable business for those who need it the most.

Because of the limited reach we have, it would take ages for the $19/year plan to reach the masses and generate enough revenue that would help blogstatic become self-sustainable. We're a bootstrapped business, and gladly so.

By studying our customer base, we realized that some use it for simply publishing a post under the bstatic.io subdomain, while other more sophisticated customers use it for SEO purposes and more.

Because of these extremes, we have designed multiple plans that will suit various needs and levels of expertise.

On one end, we have the casual blogger who posts once in a while — and on the other, we have a business that wants to run their blogstatic blog under a /subfolder and get the SEO machine rolling.

A quick note

Our current $19/year plan will continue to be offered up until April 3rd, 2023 — when our new prices go into full effect.

You are more than welcome and encouraged to purchase any number of blogs that you have planned for the future to lock in the $19/year price.

Existing customers on the $19/year plan, as noted at the beginning of this article, will continue without any change to their payment.

Their feature limitations will be close to the $50/year plan without a few recent features like "Subscriber importing," etc.

Feel free to say hi@blogstatic.io with any questions.
